How did you feel about your skin on your big day?

Obsessed 😆 within two to three months of receiving your treatments and using the products, my skin started to clear up (pimples, pore size and pigmentation). I was honestly so relieved to know I didn’t have to worry about my skin being wedding ready (this was a big deal to me as I’ve often been let down by my skin at other events or special days). On the day, my skin was dewy and glowing, to the point where my make up artist only applied light coverage to maintain its glow.

What did you do to prep your skin for the wedding?

I officially started prepping my skin with Dermal Glow around six months before our wedding (prior to this I was using good quality products but with no real routine or targeted treatments). My initial treatments were skin needling and BBL and had the Omega Hydrafacial or red light treatment every other month. A week before our wedding I had the Ultimate Glow facial and found that that really amplified the glow. From the day one I started using the Rebalance Moisturiser morning and night, applied the Cosmedix Clarity and Simply Brilliant (stopped using these two products after 4 months as the acne had cleared up) to the more acne prone areas and used the Cosmedix Define (highly recommend) to spot treat the odd hormonal pimple. I swear by the PCA Hyaluronic Boosting Serum and wearing sunscreen!! I use the PCA Sheer Tint SPF45 everyday.

Do you have any skin tips for brides to be?

As general good practice, I definitely increased my water consumption to at least 2 litres a day and tried to reduce my sugar intake but to be honest, I have such a sweet tooth so this didn’t change dramatically and fortunately I think the products I used help counter the sugar 😅  I can’t recommend a skin consult enough. You’ll get some great feedback and a treatment plan that gives you several options to improve your skin. It can be costly, but to me, skin confidence on your special day is worth the investment. In terms of products, after the skin needling, the retinol based serums definitely reduced my acne/pimples (which was my main concern) and the Cosmedix Define stopped any pimples heading or flaring. To this day I continue to use the PCA Restorative Eye Cream, PCA Hyaluronic Boosting Serum, Rebalance Moisturiser, the PCA SPF and Define when I need it. Loved the glow treatment and Oxygen boost the week prior to our wedding and to help reduce any puffiness, I’d recommend a Lymphatic Drainage massage the day before or day of your wedding.
