Epidermal Levelling

Epidermal Leveling (or dermaplaning) is a painless manual exfoliation procedure to remove dead skin cells while removing the fine fluffy hairs. This gentle, sterile and professional treatment involves removal of fine hair and dead skin cells by the use of a surgical grade scalpel safely scraping over skin with feather-light strokes resulting in smoother more radiant complexion. For an ultimate skin rejuvenation treatment, this can be added before a peel or Omega Hydrafacial.

  • Increases absorption of topical products
  • Dimishes the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
  • Primes skin for a clinical peel
  • Removal dead cell build up
  • Minimises congestion and clogged pores
  • Removes fine vellus hairs (does NOT grow back thicker)

What is involved in the treatment?

Following a thorough consultation the skin will be double cleansed and then degreased to ensure there is no residual oil still present on the skin.
The skin is held tight and the surgical blade is then safely scraped across skin at a 45 degree angle removing fine fluffy hairs and removing dead skin cells. Once the full face has been completed an enzymatic peel will be massaged into skin. This may have a slight tingling effect, but resides quickly.
This treatment can be performed every 4-6 weeks.
