Dermalux LED Therapy
LED Therapy is an amazing light therapy for visibly radiant, rejuvenated and refined skin. Here at Dermal Glow we use Dermalux who are the world leaders in professional LED Therapy systems. LED Therapy is a non-invasive treatment that utilies clinically proven low light energy to trigger your body’s own cellular recovery processes. Treating a wide range of concerns and resulting in an instant boost to the skins complexion and restoring vitality and glow.
The unique combination of clinically proven blue, red and near infrared wavelengths improve production of collagen and elastin in the skin, increase hydration, calm redness and irritation and kill off the bacteria causing acne. This results in visibly younger and healthy skin with softening of fine lines and wrinkles, and improved texture for a more refined looking skin.
This treatment is recommended with other skin rejuvenation procedures to enhance results, however can be used as a stand-alone treatment to promote skin rejuvenation or as series of treatments to treat acne or relieve eczema symptoms.
How does it work?
Skin has the ability to absorb light energy and uses it to stimulate or regulate essential cell processes. LED Therapy uses beneficial wavelengths from the visible and infrared light spectrum, which have been proven to enhance and speed up the skins natural repair function. In fact, they have been known to renew up to 200% faster, accelerating regeneration and repair.
What does the treatment involve?
Following a cleanse of the skin, you will be placed under the low light therapy and the wavelength will be chosen dependant on your skin concerns. Most clients find this a relaxing and pain free experience with a therapeutic effect on mood. Each treatment lasts up to 30mins while you lay and enjoy some me-time. You will feel a beautiful warmth to the skin while the skin absorbs the light energy, boosting your skins complexion to restore vitality and glow. Once the light has finished, we will either commence with another treatment or apply post treatment hydrating solutions and SPF.
DERMALUX® BLUE 415NM
Blemish fighting blue light destroys the bacteria which causes spots and helps in the prevention of breakouts.
Exposure to Blue light at 415nm interacts with the p.acnes bacteria creating a photodynamic reaction which results in bacterial destruction. It also helps to balance sebum production and improve skin clarity.

DERMALUX® RED 633NM
Rejuvenating Red light accelerates cell renewal and repair, boosting collagen and elastin synthesis for smoother firmer skin.
Exposure to Red light at 633nm is clinically proven to increase the body’s natural form of cellular energy (ATP) which in turn “kick starts” cells to regenerate faster. Red light is potently absorbed by fibroblasts increasing collagen and elastin synthesis and boosting natural hydration levels. It also improves blood flow for increased tissue oxygenation and the lymphatic systems to eliminate toxins. DERMALUX® NEAR INFRARED 830NM
Repairing Near Infrared light is the most deeply absorbed wavelength.
Exposure to Near Infrared light at 830nm triggers the skins anti-inflammatory processes to accelerate repair and reduce irritation and redness. Near Infrared light builds strength and integrity for compromised, environmentally damaged and sensitive skin conditions. It is also clinically effective in the treatment of age spots and hyperpigmentation.
